Studio Rules

• Arrive to class on time
• Arrive in proper dance attire (Mandatory Uniform)
• No food, drinks, or chewing gum during class
• No running inside studio
• Be kind and respectful to others
• Keep your hands and feet to yourself
• Respect the dance space. Pick up any trash, your clothes and shoes.
• Do not touch mirrors

Registration Fee

There is a one time fee of $45 per student that is due at the time of registering with KaribeKids Dance Academy. This fee includes a KaribeKids T-Shirt.

Waiver & Liability

It's the parents responsibility to sign the Waiver & Liability sent to their email once the child registers with KaribeKids.

Payments

• Monthly payments are due on the 1st of the month (no later than the 5th of the month).
• An active Credit Card or Debit Card must be saved on the student's profile.
• Card on file will be charged when payment is pending.
• A $15.00 late charge fee will be added to your monthly payment if payment is not received by the 5th of the month.
• Monthly payments may not be carried over as credit into future months even if classes are missed and not made up.
• The studio is closed for the following Federal Holidays (New Year Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day). The studio will also be closed during school breaks but we will have camps during that time. Monthly payments remain the same and no money will be reimbursed.
• In the event of severe weather conditions, KaribeKids Dance Academy may cancel all scheduled classes; monthly payments will remain the same and no money will be reimbursed.
• Students are offered make-up sessions for any classes that might be missed.
• Make-up sessions are at the responsibility of the student and parents and must be taken within the same month of the missed class.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend every class. Progress in class depends on regular and consistent participation. Classes will promptly begin and end at scheduled times. Parents should give the studio prior notice if their child needs to miss class. Students should arrive dressed in uniform and be ready for class at least 5 minutes before scheduled start.

Drop Off/Pick Up

It is the parent or guardians responsibility to accompany students to and from the studio. To ensure safety, KaribeKids Dance Academy will ask students to remain inside the building until a parent or guardian arrives. We ask kindly that you please wait until class has begun and be available to meet your student when class ends. KaribeKids Dance Academy does not assume responsibility for students who do not enter the studio.

Please notify the studio of any changes regarding pick-ups.

Dress Code

All students must wear required dance attire to class as listed in the class uniform list. All student's hair must be pulled back off the face. Jeans, sleeveless, graphic shirts and/or school uniforms are not allowed in class.

Mini Ballet: KaribeKids pink leotard, pink tutu/skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair up in a bun.

Ballet 1, 2 & 3: KaribeKids black leotard, black skirt or a skirt that matches the color of the logo, skin tone tights, pink ballet shoes, hair up in a bun.

Acro: KaribeKids t-shirt, black leggings/pants, black jazz shoes, hair up in a bun.

Flamenco 1 & 2: KaribeKids leotard, black flamenco skirt and flamenco shoes.

Jazz/Lyrical: KaribeKids leotard or KaribeKids t-shirt, black leggings/pants (NO JEANS), black jazz shoes, hair up in a ponytail.

Hip-Hop & Reggaeton: KaribeKids t-shirt, black leggings/pants (NO JEANS), black jazz hoes or sneakers, hair up in a ponytail.

Salsa (All): KaribeKids t-shirt, black leggings/pants, black jazz shoes.

As we love putting on many shows throughout the years for our family and friends there comes commitment with it all. We do expect all of our kids to participate in our yearly shows, Karibe Gala Anniversary (May), Halloween Show (October), and our Holiday Show (December). Please see below a few things we exprect from our students in order to deliver what we promise as dance instructors, mentors as well as teaching them the importance of "team player" mentality.

Attendance (All Students):

Students are committed to dancing in the class they take weekly unless stated otherwise by their parents. Students that miss more than 3 classes are responsible for making up through private class and/or makeup class. If Instructor sees a student is not ready to perform, they will not be able to participate.

Please always communicate with Adriana and/or Jose to let us know if the child needs to miss so we can accommodate whatever needs need to be met.

We do not provide refunds and or credit.

Under no circumstances are students allowed to miss the week before any upcoming show.
